Each piece builds meaning through repetition, weaving a simple, meticulously hand-worked ceramic form into new massings that evoke a shell's fragility and the solemnity of a dead harvest. Suspended or mounted empty, these compositions reveal the permanent loss of marine ecosystems and the human communities that depend on them. Across the series, mourning sharpens into critique, casting our new food realities against the hollow promise of a political "golden age."
